Hey everyone! As a long-time Wuthering Waves player, I recently tackled the Shadows of the Past quest and wanted to share my complete walkthrough. This quest is actually Act 2 of the Tiger's Maw Mine storyline, and it's one of those time-gated missions that can really test your patience!
The Dreaded 24-Hour Wait 😴
So you just finished Hidden Dangers In A Peaceful Life and now you're staring at that "Wait for Xiaoyu's message" prompt. Let me save you some frustration - this is a REAL TIME wait. Yep, you need to wait exactly 24 hours from when you completed the previous quest. No amount of gameplay, time manipulation, or wishful thinking will speed this up. I made the mistake of trying to rush it by playing continuously, but the game just won't budge!

Getting Back to Business 🎯
Once that 24-hour timer finally ends (trust me, I set a reminder on my phone!), you'll receive Xiaoyu's message and the real action begins. The quest takes you back to Tiger's Maw Mine where you'll need to chat with some officials. But here's where things get spicy!
The Ice Chrysalis Challenge ❄️
Underneath the mine, there's a Tacet Discord/Overlord Echo Boss waiting, and you'll need to clear three Ice Chrysalises marked on your map. Each one is guarded by multiple Elite enemies, so here's my combat prep checklist:

Pro Tip: The Elite enemies have shields powered by three ice crystals surrounding them. BREAK THESE FIRST! The crystals give enemies attack boosts, and trust me, you don't want to face them with that buff active.
The Lampylumen Myriad Boss Fight ⚡
After clearing the chrysalises, you'll head down into the mines toward the main boss. The path is filled with more Elite enemies, so stay alert! The Lampylumen Myriad is an Overlord boss that deals serious Glacio DMG and loves teleporting around.
